Edible Six Pack Rings

Edible Six Pack Rings

We all, or at least most us, have gone out and bought a six pack. Most of us throw the plastic container in a bin, but some of us don’t, or it blows away from the deck of a ship into the ocean etc. Long story short, it ends up in the water and we have all seen the pictures of what happens to birds, turtles and other marine life when they get caught in the plastic rings or digest it, once it is broken down in to smaller particles also known as microplastics.

Saltwater Brewery from Delray Beach Florida and We Believers (advertising agency) have come up with a grand solution to the problem of the plastic six pack ring, Edible Six Pack Rings.  A six‐pack packaging, made with byproducts of the beer making process, that instead of killing animals, feeds them. They are also 100% biodegradable and compostable and thus reducing marine ltter. So far We Believers, has produced 40.000 holders, enough for the current monthly production of Saltwater Brewery.

Like Saltwater Brewery says in their Facebook post “We hope the big guys follow”. So Heineken, Amstel, Budweiser and all the other breweries as well as The Coca Cola Company and Pepsi, what are you waiting for. If Saltwater Brewery can do this, you can do this too.
